Curated Design Services
Some of the best homes we've worked on didn't need construction. They needed clarity. The right sofa, properly scaled. A palette that feels cohesive from room to room. Lighting that brings a space to life after six o'clock. Textiles that add warmth without overwhelming the room. These are the thoughtful choices that turn a finished space into a home that feels comfortable, personal, and complete.
Curated Design Services is for people who have a sense of what they love and want a skilled design partner to help bring it all together. Rather than managing a renovation or coordinating contractors, we focus on finding furniture, lighting, textiles, and decor that suit your home and reflect your personality. We take care with the details so the finished rooms feel cohesive and considered.
For homeowners across the Central Coast and beyond, this is a meaningful alternative to full-service design when the bones of the space are already in place and what's needed is a refined, cohesive layer of furnishings and styling.
The right pieces, thoughtfully chosen for the way you live.
What's Included
Lifestyle and Aesthetic Discovery We begin with a conversation about how you live in your home, what you love, what hasn't worked, and how you'd like each room to feel. We'll talk about your daily routines, your family, and the pieces you already own and want to keep. That understanding guides the selections we make together.
Furniture Sourcing and Selection Thoughtful sourcing takes time, relationships, and a trained eye. We research and select furniture from our network of trade vendors, independent makers, artisan workshops, and curated retailers. Each piece is considered for the proportions of your rooms, its quality and longevity, and how it fits the direction we've established together. Rather than leaving you to sort through endless options, we present a considered selection that makes decisions easier and helps each piece feel at home with the others.
Lighting Curation Lighting is one of the most underinvested decisions in home furnishing and one of the most consequential. We select fixtures that address the layered needs of each room: overhead sources that set the tone, task lighting that supports how the room is used, and accent pieces that add warmth and character. We also think about what a fixture looks like during the day when it's not illuminated, because it's always in the room.
Textile and Material Layering Rugs, drapery, pillows, throws, upholstery: this is the layer that makes a space feel lived-in and warm rather than showroom-polished. We source textiles with an eye for quality, tactile richness, and how each piece interacts with everything else in the room. Beautiful things that don't hold up aren't a good investment, so durability is always part of the equation.
Decor and Styling This is the finishing layer: artwork, sculptural objects, ceramics, books, plants, the considered details that give a room personality without making it feel decorated. We style with restraint. Everything we bring in has a reason to be there, and we're just as thoughtful about what we leave out.
Presentation and Procurement Support All sourcing selections are presented with imagery, dimensions, pricing, and lead times so decisions are clear and well-informed. We walk through it together, answer questions, and refine from your feedback. If you'd prefer to hand off purchasing entirely, we offer full procurement support as an add-on and manage ordering, tracking, and delivery coordination on your behalf.
Who this is for
This service is a good fit for clients furnishing a new home or a recently completed renovation, refreshing rooms that have never quite come together, or building around a few favorite pieces. It's also helpful if you've spent time sourcing on your own and would like a clearer direction. You get a cohesive, beautiful result without the scope of full project management.
If you have a sense of the look you want and would like an experienced partner to help bring it to life, this may be the right fit.
Frequently Asked Questions

Full-Service covers the whole project: space planning, construction, contractor management, everything from concept through installation. Curated Design Services is focused on furnishing and styling. It's the right fit when the space is already built and what's needed is a thoughtful, cohesive layer of furniture, lighting, textiles, and decor. The scope is more targeted and the timeline is typically shorter.
-
Absolutely. One living room, one primary bedroom, a dining room that's never worked: all of these are great starting points. You don't need to commit to the whole house if that's not where you are right now.
-
We source across a range of price points and tailor selections to your budget. We discuss the range early so we can focus on options that feel right for both your home and your investment.
-
That's a natural part of the process. We present a curated selection, hear what resonates with you, and refine from there. Our goal is to create a result you're genuinely excited about, and we're happy to revisit selections to get there.
-
No. We provide clear sourcing documentation you can use to purchase on your own if you prefer. For clients who'd rather hand off purchasing entirely, full procurement support is available as an add-on.
-
It depends on the scale and the lead times involved. A focused single-room project can move relatively quickly when pieces are in stock. Larger projects or anything involving custom or made-to-order pieces will take longer. We set honest timeline expectations at the start and keep you updated on lead times throughout.
